Overview
As the Vice President of Membership for the Entrepreneurship Society at San Diego State University, I was like the club’s social glue, bringing in new members and ensuring everyone had a blast while nurturing their inner entrepreneurs. My goal was simple: create a community where students felt excited to show up, share ideas, and leave feeling like the next Steve Jobs (minus the turtlenecks). We built a culture that was as empowering as it was fun, making sure every member felt welcome and inspired to grow.
One of the high points was bringing in Chase Fisher, the CEO and founder of Blenders Eyewear. Chase Fisher, an SDSU alum, dropped wisdom like a seasoned surfer dropping into a perfect wave. His insights into building a brand from scratch were not only inspiring but gave everyone a glimpse into what’s possible with a good idea and a lot of hustle. Between hosting speakers, I rolled up my sleeves and jumped into club activities to keep the energy high and the vibe right. Leading the club as VP of Membership felt like a dream role. Combining fun, creativity, and entrepreneurship into one unforgettable experience.
