Overview

PitchFest, hosted by LAVIN in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Society, almost didn’t include me. Until I convinced my friend, Zachary Almaraz, to join in just minutes before it started. With barely any time to prepare, we pitched our idea: a campus-friendly version of DoorDash, but with a unique twist to make it stand out. Although we didn’t win, we had a great time presenting and left a solid impression. There was a nice round of applause from the audience, which made it all the more satisfying.

Standing in front of professors and students, Zachary and I pulled together a pitch that reflected creativity, teamwork, and a lot of quick thinking. It may have been a spontaneous decision, but the experience taught us a lot about presenting under pressure and delivering a message that resonated with the crowd. We might not have taken home a prize, but the applause and positive reactions from the audience made it a win in its own way.
